FT. RELANY

A Discussion with Relany | 5-26-24

WHAT'S YOUR STORY AND HOW DID YOU GET TO WHERE YOU ARE NOW?

My story began fairly recently, and it has taken a village to help me grow into my creative space. My friends, my agency, my family, and even my past relationship are the reasons I am where I am today. The confidence and kindness I show myself and others come from the support of these people who have allowed me to grow and realize, "Hey, maybe I do have a chance to make things happen for me." None of my success is solely my own; I will always be in debt to those who have believed in and helped me. I continue to grow thanks to the wisdom, encouragement, and kindness of the people who have blessed my life. In simpler terms, my story is from all the people and moments I've experienced and am experiencing.

HOW DID YOU GET INTO THE CREATIVE SPACE?

I was always a hypersensitive kid, and writing has been and continues to be my outlet for connecting with myself and others. As for modeling, I was fortunate enough to be scouted on Instagram. My agency helped me get signed in New York, and we are still growing from there. This progress has been made possible, of course, with the help of the incredible people I've mentioned who are constantly behind me, offering their unwavering support.

ARE THERE ANY UPCOMING PROJECTS YOU'RE WORKING ON?

I am currently focused on booking more shoots and modeling jobs while building my portfolio.

Additionally, I am dedicating time to connecting with other creatives and creating genuine relationships. This aspect of my life is the most important to me. I crave and deeply value meaningful connections with the people I meet.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN THE FUTURE, WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS?

I see myself living in LA or NYC for work, traveling to Europe, and meeting many new people. I plan to model, enjoy the experience while it lasts, and live life to the fullest.

I also see myself giving back to those who have helped me, as well as to strangers. I believe it's important to share wealth with others. Making a lot of money without using it for good is a lonely and arrogant luxury. I plan to remind myself, when I do make a lot of money, to always give back and help others, whether they are family, friends, or people in need. In this world, we are meant to help one another, and wealth and money can make a significant impact.

IF THERE'S ONE PIECE OF ADVICE YOU WOULD GIVE TO SOMEONE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

The one piece of advice I can give is that comparison is the thief of joy.

Many of us, whether in the creative space or in life, struggle with comparing our art, our personalities, and our opportunities. It's difficult not to, but as cliché as it sounds, we are all on our own unique journeys. We each have room to be successful, and we all measure success differently. Always remember that. My version of success may be entirely different from someone else's. Your art is meant for you and the people you share it with. Don’t let comparisons take that away from you.
